RimJournal: Recipes
Atole | Balinese | Curry | Posole | Pumpkin and squash | Tamales
To be honest, I don't like atole, a thick cornmeal beverage, very much. Not even in Alamos where they frequently spice it up with chocolate, but it is very traditional and warming in cold weather. I think it's like poi and sago; if you grew up with it, it's comfort food. The links below are good for other recipes also.
A typical Mexican recipe for WHITE ATOLE comes from Mexico,Arte,Cultura y Folklore. Cocina Mexicana - Typical Food menu section in English links to a selection of traditional dishes. Cocina Mexicana - Beverages menu links to atole. They keep changing this site. Sometimes it loads unevenly or won't let you access parts of the site. If these links don't work, try to access from Index of /Ingles/Cocina at http://mexico.udg.mx/cocina/ingles/.
Morten's Recipe Collection - Mexican is a collection from Denmark which includes atole.

Thanks to the South China Morning Post for their article on links to curry recipes on the net. They are all interesting sites, but my favorite is:
Samachar Indian Cuisine
This India based site seems to have the most authentic recipes with all sorts of tips. Tips on buying the produce to go in your curry, what to do if your ghee turns rancid (heat it again with a drumstick leaf). A truly interesting site if you are interested in curry from its source.
The Curry Page
A personal site with recipes organized by country. Includes links to history, geography, recipes from friend's aunties, etc. Enjoyable site with recipes from many different regions of India.
All India Site - Recipes Index
Part of the All India Site and its All India Food & Drink Page. They post a recipe of the week (not necessarily curry) with archived recipes and collections of recipes. Quite an extensive site.

Other interesting links for tamales in December 1997:
These first two links are from the same site which has a good collection of Mexican Recipes.
Margaret's Taos Tamales
New Mexico style tamales with red chili sauce
Tamales by Zarela Martinez
Typical Mexican style, includes a recipe for Oaxacan Tamal Casserole
Carnitas Tamales

COCORI Complete Costa Rica--Christmas Tamales

Green Corn Tamales
Green corn tamales are made in the summer when the field corn is green and sweet. In Tucson, the corn is usually not right out of the field, so the tamale makers add sugar, cheese and green chili for flavoring and often freeze them to reheat out of season, but when we buy them in season on the plaza in Alamos, the flavor comes purely from the young corn.
Lowfat Tamales
Also vegetarian
